Dr Samuel Ogutu Muruya is a qualified Gynaecologist and Obstetrician, fellowship-trained, and has completed his registrar training. He also holds a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the University of KwaZulu Natal.

Dr Muruya is also a member of the South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SASOG) and the South African Medical Association (SAMA). In addition, he remains academically active as a sessional consultant at the Polokwane-Mankweng Academic Hospital Complex..
